Gorilla Trekking Safari
Gorilla trekking is the most popular activity inBwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The park is home to approximately 460 mountain gorillas. Depending on the location of the gorillas,
The gorilla trek can last anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours and the best part of this experience is the one-hour observation period where you see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
Our Safari Tips:
- Trekkers need to be physically fit as the terrain can be challenging, requiring hiking through dense bamboo forests and steep slopes. Consider incorporating a good workout routine to keep you in shape a few months before your safari.
- It’s important to wear proper clothing when going for the gorilla treks—long-sleeved shirts and trousers, sturdy hiking boots, and carrying rain gear due to the park’s unpredictable weather.
