Lake Manyara Park Safari
Distance: 126 km | Drive Time: Approx. 1.5 hours | 7:00 am – Safari Begins!
Your driver/guide will come by your hotel, the airport, or place of your choosing in a private 4 x 4 Safari Jeep. Hop aboard and we begin our adventure to Lake Manyara Park.
Driving through Maasai country, we’ll likely spot Maasai herdsmen tending their cattle as we head to the park.
You can’t miss the blue alkaline lake adorned with the dressing of innumerable pink flamingoes all poised before you. It’s an awesome and welcoming sight.
You’ll also see more water birds by the lake and raptors floating through the park’s nearby forests.
Look for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, monkeys, and baboons. And perhaps overhead, Manyara’s signature tree-climbing lions.
We could have lunch by the lake or perhaps near the hippo pool – your choice.
The afternoon will be filled with more game drives, only slowed by the realization that a beautiful sunset is spreading its colors over the western sky.
We’ll head back to Arusha after our fun and fulfilling safari and bring you to your hotel by dinnertime.
