3 Days 2 Nights Samburu Safari
A three-day Samburu safari offers a taste of the stunning landscapes and wildlife in the Samburu National Reserve in Kenya.
Day
1
Day 1 : Nairobi – Samburu
- 07:00 hrs. – Your safari driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel/ Nairobi airport. Then head to central highlands enjoying views of local coffee, tea, and pineapple farms.
- Afternoon: Check into your lodge or camp, have lunch, and relax for a bit.
- Embark on your first game drive in Samburu. The late afternoon is an excellent time for wildlife spotting as animals are more active in the cooler temperatures.
- Here you will find wildlife from the neighboring reserves gathering to drink at the river’s nourishing banks.
- The river is also home to hippos, crocodiles and some of the many varieties of birdlife found in the parks.
- Overnight at your choice of safari lodge or tented camp.
Day
2
Day 2: Samburu Full Day
- Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
- Morning: An early start for a morning game drive. This is when predators are most active, and you can spot a wide array of wildlife.
- Return to the lodge for breakfast and some leisure time. You can relax by the pool or participate in optional activities offered by the lodge, like nature walks or cultural visits.
- Afternoon: After lunch, head out for another game drive.
- You will be on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, and some of the more entertaining wildlife like dik-dik, warthog and the olive baboon.
- As always on our safaris, be as active as you wish or relax at your safari accommodation.
Day
3
Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi
- Early breakfast at respective camp/lodge
- Our final morning in the park will give us opportunities to add more wildlife sightings to our checklist and catch sightings of animals you might have missed and enjoy the serene beauty of the reserve.
- You will enjoy the game drive as we exit the park on our journey back to Nairobi.
- Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon and will drop you off at your hotel or Nairobi Airport.
