Itinerary
We’ll pick you up from your hotel or from the airport at 8 am and drive to Giraffe Centre. Started in 1979, the Centre has been responsible for saving and breeding this beautiful subspecies of giraffe.
The Giraffe Centre is the principal sanctuary for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Here you will marvel at the beauty of giraffes. You are also allowed to feed them by climbing the high platform and try your hand at feeding one of the towering creatures. If you are lucky, you may get a giraffe kiss!
Thereafter proceed to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Within the borders of the park lies perhaps the most special animal sanctuary in the world. We’ll visit this unique reserve where rescued baby elephants are saved and nursed back to health. Feeding time is at 11:00 am and we’ll be there to enjoy the sight of dozens of these babies feeding from enormous milk bottles.
The orphanage is the most successful sanctuary of its kind in the world and has saved over 200 baby elephants as well as young rhinos. A visit here might just be the highlight of your African Holiday.
