Tanzania Safari By Road

2 Days Tarangire

Day

1

Arusha to Tarangire

Your Tarangire adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading out through the picturesque Maasai countryside. After approximately three hours on the road, you’ll arrive at Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its striking landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees and its impressive concentration of elephants.

Upon arrival, you’ll begin your first game drive, exploring the park’s varied habitats that support an abundance of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and impalas.

The Tarangire River, a lifeline during the dry season, attracts large herds of animals and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. Around midday, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic area of the park before continuing your exploration through the afternoon.

As the sun sets, you’ll check in at a lodge or tented camp situated within or close to the park, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the bush.
